Visit quantumlevitation.com for an explanation of the physics behind this demonstration which was shown at the 2011 ASTC Annual Conference titled "Knowledge that Works: From Theory to Practice," that was hosted by the Maryland Science Center in Baltimore, October 15-18.
Great info man, realy cool!
ReplyDeleteThat superconductor skateboard was cool.
ReplyDeleteI think this innovation is awesome. Do you think quantum levitation could be used in a practical setting? The railroad or subway, perhaps? I'm not sure how much it would cost to implement vs. the costs now of fuel, coal, electricity, maintenance, etc. now but it would probably save on the fossil fuels. I think the nitrogen would be worse for the environment though, so maybe not.
ReplyDeleteSo cool!
